Overview The Dixie National Forest Customer Service Representative for the Cedar City Ranger District is an integral part of the team and works daily with the general public assisting with a variety of roles.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customer warmly

  • Provide information about forest recreational activities: hiking, biking, hunting, fishing, camping, etc.

  • Keeps apprised of any district projects: prescribed fires, timber logging, tree planting, trails work, closed areas, etc.

  • Sell maps, park passes, timber product permits, and Smokey Bear merch.

Qualifications:

  • This position requires a good attitude, reliability, and a passion for public lands.

  • Must be able to work independently and responsibly in a professional setting.

  • Must be willing to be become a Certified Collection Officer (paid).
